Cornea
Treatments to preserve and enhance vision for a range of eye conditions.
Corneal Issues
Mr Darcy is the head of corneal services at Bristol Eye Hospital and is committed to advancing treatments to preserve and improve vision. One of his specialties is the 500 microns of domed, collagen tissue at the front surface of the eye, called the cornea. This clear tissue allows light into the eye and does the majority of the work to direct it onto the retina, for good, clear vision. A healthy cornea is essential for clear vision; however, issues such as corneal dystrophies, infections or traumas require treatment.
